According to the Associated Press, the Carolina Panthers have hired former Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Ron Meeks to take the same position with their team.

Meeks was fired from his post with the Colts last week, after spending the past seven seasons with the club. He will be replacing Mike Trgovac, who left the Panthers to become the defensive line coach in Green Bay.
