According to Fox 8 in New Orleans, Saints LB Jonathan Vilma was arrested in Miami late last night, after police said he was weaving through traffic, ran a red light, and came close to striking two pedestrians.
Vilma also resisted arrest upon confrontation with the responding officers, refusing to cooperate when asked to exit the vehicle. Bond for Vilma was set at $6,500.
This could hurt Vilma’s chances of receiving a major deal this off-season, although his talent on the field will likely overwhelm any negative misgivings, especially with teams that are in need of a quality 4-3 MLB.
