Pablo Serrano-Vitorino, the Kansas City, Kansas, man charged with murder in the fatal shootings of four people Monday night and suspected in the death of a fifth, was captured early Wednesday in east-central Missouri. Fox 4 in Kansas City reports Serrano-Vitorino isSerrano-Vitorino's last known location was in the vicinity of the 175-mile marker of Interstate 70, near New Florence, MO. Although a rifle was discovered at the scene, he did not resist arrest.

Authorities say Serrano-Vitorino was last seen wearing a red and black flannel jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt, and possibly blue jeans.

But ICE mistakenly issued the detainer for him to the wrong sheriff's office, and as a result of the error, Serrano-Vitorino was not taken into ICE custody then.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not say why Serrano-Votorino was originally deported in 2004. ICE will continue to monitor this case and will place a detainer on Mr. Serrano-Vitorino if he is taken into local custody.

The patrol said Tuesday that Serrano-Vitorino was considered unsafe and may be armed with an AK-47. Additionally, Serrano-Vitorino is being held on a two million dollar bond for the murders which occurred in Kansas City, Kan.

Sgt James Hedrick of the highway patrol told the newspaper: "He was exhausted".

The Star reported the area where Serrano-Vitorino was apprehended is near a McDonald's restaurant and several motels.

Serrano is suspected of fatally shooting four people at his neighbor's home in Kansas be.

Lt. Paul Reinsch told CNN that a 49-year-old Montgomery County man was found dead in a home near where officers found Serrano-Vitorino's truck. Municipal Court on September 14.

Three of the Kansas City victims were identified by the Kansas City Star as Michael "Chainsaw" Capps and two brothers, Clint and Austin Harter. Reinsch said a witness called 911 to report seeing a man running from the property, leading to a search of the thickly-wooded surrounding area.

A truck that Serrano-Vitorino was believed to be driving was found abandoned around 7 a.m. Tuesday along the interstate.
