Country music singer Joey Feek dead at 40

The heartbreaking news came from her husband, Rory Feek, who wrote the latest update about her wife in his blog, This Life I Live.

She is survived by Rory, daughter IN, 2, and stepdaughters Heidi and Hope.

A blog post written by Rory Feek, said Joey was admitted to a hospital in Muncie, Indiana, in November and doctors said her cancer tumors were growing and became inflamed, causing enormous amounts of pain. "Joey is in the arms of her beloved brother Justin and using her pretty voice to sing for her savior", said the singer-songwriter.

Rory confirmed that Joey died at 2:30 p.m. on March 4 surrounded by loved ones.

He also mentions that in the time God has given Joey, he believes his wife has given all she could give, adding that she has loved all she could love and lived all she could live.

But February was filled with fun moments for the Feek family, including a Grammy viewing party to watch the singers compete for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
