Green's 11th triple-double leads Warriors over Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Golden State Warriors Saturday night in a prime time nationally televised game.
The Warriors were coming off a 32-point drubbing at Portland a night earlier that snapped their 11-game winning streak.
Green had a monster game thanks to his 11th triple double of the season - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. "We didn't have 13 in one quarter". "We've been a resilient team all year". "We haven't lost two in a row all season, which we're very proud of".
Cameron urges Boris Johnson to back Remain campaign
British Prime Minister David Cameron makes a statement outside 10 Downing Street in London, Saturday Feb. 20, 2016. Speaking outside his home in north London , the mayor said his decision had been "agonisingly difficult".
For every bucket Stephen Curry might get on the offensive end, maybe he'd give you two back on the other. Crawford also notched his 47th career regular-season four-point play in the second quarter. "It is a love-hate thing, I guess".
"Tonight was a good response to a great challenge because the Clippers have been playing really well and they're a great team", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. This was a rare bounce back game for Golden State. But with a second to go, Wilcox missed a long three-point attempt that would have forced overtime. Los Angeles defeated the Spurs on Thursday night by 19 points and although they played without Kawhi Leonard that is still an extremely impressive win. "When we don't turn it over, we are tough to beat". Quick whistles and technical fouls introduced an element of choppiness to the affair, and it didn't help that the Clippers were shorthanded, without Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers, and scrambling to integrate trade acquisition Jeff Green into their rotations.
Barnes hit a 3-pointer, and Green followed with a layup to make it 110-92 with 5:20 left.
GOP candidates South Carolina Primary speech highlights
The "Journal" reports many of South Carolina's most conservative voters have been switching their preference from Trump to Cruz. The Tennessee primary and Alaska caucus are for republicans only, while the American Samoa caucus is just for democratic voters.
The Clippers (36-18) are highly unlikely to overcome a 12 1/2-game deficit and catch Golden State (48-5) in the Pacific Division. The Warriors shot 56% in the first half and 51% in the game.
The Golden State Warriors have still been hot as of late. Overall, the Clippers and Rivers have been trying to beat the Warriors using the same stale strategy for the last two seasons. However, Paul was forced to sit out the rest of the game with 8:09 remaining because of a bruised thigh. Now the question they may be asking is, will their Friday blowout, followed up by close win against the Clippers, show that they are not unstoppable and affect them going forward? Green, who was acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for swingman Lance Stephenson and a protected first-round pick, had five points against Golden State.
Without the team's true centers, Bogut and Festus Ezeli (left knee), it was widely believed that either forward/center Marreese Speights or Jason Thompson would draw the starting defensive assignment against Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, who came into the meeting shooting 70.3 percent from the floor.
