Four sent off in Trabzonspor's loss to Galatasaray

A player angered by the referee's decisions during a Turkish league match between Galatasaray and Trabzonsport, gave a red card to the referee, after having stolen it.

At the time of the incident, referee Deniz Bitzel had already shown red cards to three Kaplanlar players and reduced them to eight men when a group surrounded him, causing him to drop his red card.

Bitnel, unsurprisingly, did not take the gesture kindly - reclaiming the red card from Dursun and then telling him to join Cavanda in the dressing room.

The 24-year-old's freaky act of dissent left his side with just seven players on the pitch after a bad-tempered affair between Tranzonspor and Galatasary descended into farce.

The others who were sent off in the game were Ozer Hurmaci and Aykut Demir.

Despite receiving an unprecedented four red cards, Galatasaray required a last minute penalty to secure the victory against their mid-table opposition. The whole of the Turk Telekom Arena went up in raptures of laughter, but unfortunately for Trabzonspor the referee was not amused.

The Turkish referee was less than impressed with the defender's impudence, grabbing the card back before officially sending him off.
