With a wobble, Brady and Patriots head into the playoffs

It's not a stretch to call the New England Patriots season finale against the Miami Dolphins the most disappointing effort of the season. Push the envelope and go all-out to ensure each game for New England will be played at Gillette Stadium over the next month, or be conservative and try and take a shot at beating the woeful Dolphins with the bare minimum in terms of personnel and keep the rest out of harms way. In his weekly Boston radio appearance, Brady insisted he would be fine and that he has had worse injuries.

ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing a league source, reported that Brady is "expected to be ready for [the] playoffs" after his MRI revealed a sprain but no break or fractures.

"I'm pretty sore", Brady said, "but I'll be all right".

In the second half he came out throwing, and running back James White turned a short pass into a 68-yard gain to set up New England's touchdown. "300 pounds, he just collapses the back of your leg, there's going to be some residual damage from that". "We've just got a lot of work to do". "I always want to be in there fighting with my teammates. Whether that's here in New England or somewhere else I don't know... one of the things he would like to do is win a Super Bowl without having the benefit of one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time".

Here's the Miss Universe ballot Steve Harvey couldn't properly read
For me, Miss Colombia is Miss Universe and will continue to be Miss Universe . "We feel so badly, but still a great night". I know how much pride many countries, fans and most importantly, the contestants take in preparing for this night.

"I'm doing all right". We'll be ready to go two weeks for now. The Patriots finally picked up a first down, their last of the game, on their next drive but after starting at their own four yard line, they only got out to their 31 yard line before punting again.

"We'll find out where we are in a couple weeks". "I mean, whatever it is, it is".

Not because of the coach per se, but due to the downward spiral the team seems to be on. Nope. He's turned the page to the postseason and what's at stake for the defending Super Bowl champs. "That's all that really matters", Brady said. As the number-three seed, the Bengals will host the number-six Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round, and backup quarterback AJ McCarron will start that game if Dalton is unable to go.

And the worst part about it is they punched that ticket themselves. Nothing over the last 16 weeks is going to matter.

'Force Awakens' pulls in record $57M on opening night
Disney expects Friday's USA and Canada ticket sales to top $100m (£67m), and thinks another $100m will be taken this weekend. Last night, Thursday , according to Deadline , The Force Awakens obliterated preview night records by banking $57 million.

We New Englanders have gotten used to seeing the Patriots put up a good fight as they enter the playoffs.

Brady attempted six deep passes in his 24 passing attempts (including penalties), accounting for 25 percent of his throws. Steven Jackson had the only real production through the air early, with a 20-yard screen. All told Brady completed 12 of 21 throws for 134 yards. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh came screaming in from behind Brady and hit him low. Brady achieved a career high in completions....
