It’s been a long and difficult year for quarterback Peyton Manning, starting with the off-season neck surgery prior to the 2011 campaign that left him unable to play a single snap, and now culminating in a likely release from the Colts next week once his $28 million roster bonus comes due.

Those troubles seem to be in his rear view mirror however, as Manning has reportedly been working out extensively at Duke University with his former college offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe, who is now the head coach at the storied North Carolina institution.

Thanks to a video posted last night on YouTube, Manning can be seen throwing aggressively in pads to his Colts teammates, tight end Dallas Clark and wide receiver Austin Collie, along with former teammate wide receiver Brandon Stokely.

The news of his throwing regimen comes at a perfect time for Manning, given his expected release, and should allay some of the concerns that potential suitors for his services may have.

Teams expected to have a serious interest in Manning include Kansas City, Washington, New York Jets, Arizona, and Miami.
