It took a little longer than expected, but in the end, the Jets persistence paid off as they were able to complete a deal with the Broncos to acquire quarterback Tim Tebow and a seventh round pick, in exchange for New York’s fourth and sixth round selections.
The Jets will also pay $2.5 million towards the $5 million owed in accordance with Tebow’s current contract.
Previously, we reported that Denver was allowing Tebow to make a decision between Jacksonville and New York, but it seems that the Broncos chose the best offer on the table, sending Tebow to the one town that is sure to make his every move a front page headline.
