Thurs @ 8:20 pm CST  —  The deal is complete according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

8:15 pm CST  —  With the biggest free agent signing in franchise history complete, the Broncos have turned towards solidifying their depth by signing players from the lower tier of free agents.

One of those players is cornerback Tracy Porter (Saints), who Denver brought in for a visit this week, and according to NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora, the Broncos are on the verge of locking Porter up with a one year contract.

The deal is expected to be worth $4 million when it’s complete.

Porter, 25, is best known for his interception of his new teammate, Peyton Manning, in Super Bowl XLIV when Manning was still playing for the Colts. Porter returned the pick all the way for a touchdown, sealing the victory for New Orleans and giving them their first Lombardi trophy.
