Waiving injured players is something that happens in the NFL from time to time, with teams typically coming to an agreement on an injury settlement prior to their release.
Indianapolis took that step earlier today in waiving injured offensive guard/tackle Tony Ugoh, who was headed into his fourth season with the club.
Ugoh was selected in the second round of the 2007 draft, and had been expected to hold down the left guard position this year for the Colts, but his injury changed those plans, forcing Indianapolis to push him to the tackle spot, and subsequently releasing him this afternoon.
