Six days into his training camp hold out, Detroit’s top selection from this year’s draft, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (#2 overall), finally agreed to terms with the Lions on a five year deal.

The terms are massive and shatter the previous record for a five year contract, with Suh set to earn $68 million over the length of the deal, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer (via Twitter). The guarantee money is huge as well, coming in at $40 million.

While Suh has missed a fair amount of practice, he is coming in early enough in the process to still make the transition to the next level reasonably fast, although it is more difficult in general for players at his position.
