8:45 am – Updating a previous report, Philadelphia has reached an agreement with fullback Leonard Weaver this morning, signing him to a three year extension. The deal is the highest contract ever given to a player at that position.
Weaver provides the Eagles with much needed depth alongside running back LeSean McCoy, especially after the departure of fellow running back Brian Westbrook earlier this week. Philly will likely still be looking to add another runner at some point this off-season, but it’s doubtful that it will come at any significant cost.
