Despite drawing interest from some teams on the market, free agents Antwaan Randle El and Ryan Clark are returning to the Pittsburgh Steelers after agreeing to mult-year contracts with the organization. Clark had previously visited with the Dolphins regarding a potential contract, but things are said to have gone not so well in Miami. Hence, the Free Safety who was among the best left on the open market, inked a 4-year deal to reprise his role in the Steelers’ secondary.
As for Randle El, the receiver/punt returner spent the last 4 seasons with the Washington Redskins, but prior to that, held a reserve position on Pittsburgh’s roster for several years. He is well-known for throwing a touchdown pass on a trick play in Super Bowl XL. He is expected to be utilized primarily in the special teams game in 2010, though is still likely to play a part as a backup WR.
In addition, the Steelers signed free agent WR Arnaz Battle and veteran CB Will Allen.
