According to Chargers beat writer Kevin Acee, St. Louis has signed former San Diego safety Clinton Hart to a deal this afternoon. No word as of yet on the contractual details, but it’s likely to be for the league minimum and maybe a few incentives.
This comes on the heels of the Rams top safety Oshiomogho Atogwe undergoing a significant amount of tests on his injured shoulder to determine the best course of action towards repairing it in the near future. Atogwe has been loath to be placed on the injured reserve list as of now, but the addition of Hart may be indicative of the team making a decision with him to fix the issue now before it becomes worse.
Hart is an eight year veteran, with a short stint in Philadelphia and much longer one in San Diego under his belt. He played in just four games this season with the Chargers before he was released in the middle of October.
