Bush on his way out of the Big Easy?

When Houston passed on drafting RB Reggie Bush in 2006 in favor of taking DE Mario Williams #1 overall, the Saints jumped at a chance to take him and haven’t looked back since.

But four seasons into his stay in New Orleans, Bush could be looking for a new home in the off-season, as the team is not likely to keep him onboard with his $8 million contract number for next year, according to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports. And given his age (24) and ability, it’s doubtful that Bush would accept a reduced salary to stay with the team, especially if he can make much more than that on the open market.

Next season could very well become an uncapped year, if the owners and the players are unable to reach an agreement prior to the end of their current contract, but Cole believes the Saints will still pass on paying that much money to Bush and will turn towards extending several other key players on the team instead.

Bush could be of interest to a multitude of teams, including Kansas City, Seattle, Cleveland, Washington, and the New York Jets.

he’s gonna end up with the Pats, replacing Kevin Faulk–just watch. Coaches no that although the Saints Offense has been high octane, they haven’t used Bushed the way they should have and he’s still young.

That’s a possibility as well I guess… Can you imagine a Pats offense with Bush in the mix next to Moss, Welker, and Brady? That would be ridiculous to say the least. Wouldn’t put it past Belichick to get it done though.
