Nakia Hogan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune has a new article up this morning discussing the status of several key playmakers for the Saints.
Here’s a quick glance at the major topics…
- WR Marques Colston is back in practice and claims to be “100% injury free” despite having undergone microfracture surgery during the off-season. If he stays healthy, Colston should provide a dominant option for QB Drew Brees to throw to, which will free up RB Reggie Bush as well.
- Several Saints were expected to have limited participation in yesterday’s practices, but they stayed on the field and played well, despite their injury concerns. LB Jonathan Vilma along with WRs Lance Moore and Adrian Arrington were in that group.
- RB Reggie Bush seems to be healthy after his own off-season microfracture surgery, but apparently, he’s not convinced that he’s at 100% just yet. That being said, he feels that a lot of that could be due to it being the first day of practice, so he’s still expected to be a major contributor this season for the Saints.
