According to Jamison Hensley (Baltimore Sun), the Ravens have unofficially taken themselves out of the Anquan Boldin sweepstakes, claiming the price is too high to acquire the Pro Bowl receiver. Apparently, the Cardinals are looking to receive a 1st round pick along with a 3rd round selection in return for Boldin’s services.
Baltimore has been seeking a premier WR for Joe Flacco to throw to next season, but are thus far unwilling to part with multiple draft picks to land Boldin in a deal with Arizona. They would not mind sending a player along with a single selection, but the Cardinals have not shown much interest in that proposal as of yet.
If the Ravens did end up dealing a player with a pick, the two names that would likely be at the top of the list would be RB Willis McGahee and TE Todd Heap. That being said, McGahee has contractual concerns that would seemingly prohibit such a move, so Baltimore is stuck between a rock and hard place right now, with little in the way of balue to trade outside of its draft selections.
