Don’t look now, but the Chargers are cleaning house. And apparently, their former prize at cornerback is headed out the door.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chargers are actively seeking to trade CB Antonio Cromartie this off-season, and will likely replace him in the lineup with a combination of CBs Antoine Cason and Drayton Florence, assuming they can sign the latter to a new contract.

Cromartie is a single season removed from one of the better statistical years for a CB in recent memory, but his injury status has led some among the San Diego brass to opine that the team should trade him now while they can still obtain good value back for him in return.

Florence is a free agent, having been recently released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and is currently in discussions with the Chargers to return to the club this season.
