For once, a promising young player has chosen the path of loyalty over an increase in his bank account.
According to John Clayton (ESPN), Steelers guard Chris Kemoatu has decided to accept a five year deal with Pittsburgh, worth an estimated $20 million instead of taking more money in a contract with the Jets.
Kemoatu is close with Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, and that relationship ultimately proved to be the deciding factor. He also believed Pittsburgh to be in a better position to win multiple championships.
