Owens staying put?
Cowboys WR Terrell Owens isn’t going anywhere soon, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus, firmly disputing any and all rumors surrounding his client that have surfaced this week.
ESPN’s Ed Werder first reported on the possibility of Owens being released by Dallas this off-season, in an effort to improve the poor team chemistry that has plagued the Cowboys all season long. Werder cited several anonymous league sources that felt that serious discussions on T.O.’s future with the club would be taking place, although the team and Owens himself vehemently denied those sentiments.
Rosenhaus discussed the situation at length on WQAM Radio in Miami, FL and had this to say about his embattled client:
“It’s not going to happen. The reason why they got rid of Pacman is because Pacman has terrible off-the-field problems, and the guy just simply can’t play anymore. He’s just not that good.”
“Terrell’s never had off-the-field problems, and he’s been one of the greatest players ever. And they just gave him a monster contract. I mean, they just gave him a huge extension before the season. He’s not going anywhere.”
