Sheppard wants out of Philly ASAP
January 19th, 2009
Apparently, getting to play on a championship caliber team isn’t worth much these days.
At least it’s not for Eagles CB Lito Sheppard.
According to the Associated Press, Sheppard is ready to hit the road on his way out of Philly, and is hoping the Eagles will accommodate his trade request in the near future.
Sheppard was angered by Philadelphia’s move to acquire Pro Bowl CB Asante Samuel last off-season, and decided to pack it in all season long instead of pushing for as much playing time as possible. His trade value couldn’t be worse right now for the Eagles, but at what point do they cut their losses and move on?
