The Sacramento Bee is reporting that Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha is the most likely candidate to receive Oakland’s franchise designation this off-season. Asomugha may not go quietly though, as he would prefer to get as far away from Oakland as possible.
The Raiders really wasted a golden opportunity last season when they traded for CB DeAngelo Hall and paid him ridiculous amounts of money to play in just a few games. Signing Asomugha to a long-term deal then would have been the smart move to make, but then again, no one has ever accused Raiders owner Al Davis of being the wisest manager of personnel.
