GoFundMe promised on Thursday that it would make sure Bobbitt receives the money owed to him after a New Jersey couple reportedly mismanaged the $402, 706 raised for him in an online campaign in November, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

A couple, Kate McClure and Mark D'Amico, started the campaign after McClure ran out of gas and became stranded last October, and Bobbitt helped her out with his last $20.

"As of this time, there have been no charges filed", Burlington County Prosecutor Scott A. Coffina said in a statement on Thursday. The story went viral and McClure and her boyfriend, Mark D'Amico, created a GoFundMe account for Bobbitt. McClure and D'Amico promised they would put all of the donations into a trust for Bobbitt so he could access the money.

In this November 17, 2017, file photo, Johnny Bobbitt Jr., left, Kate McClure, right, and McClure's boyfriend Mark D'Amico are pictured in Philadelphia.

"GoFundMe and Cozen O'Connor on behalf of Johnny Bobbitt are pleased to report that [Bobbitt] will be made whole and we're committing that he'll get the balance of the funds that he has not yet received or benefitted from", says GoFundMe spokesperson Bobby Whithorne in a statement to Fast Company.

He spent most of the summer back on the streets of Philadelphia, sleeping under a bridge near the spot where McClure's out-of-gas SUV sputtered to a stop last fall. Other videos showed D'Amico hitting golf balls off the lawn around the home.

As for the couple, they've been ordered to appear in a deposition on Monday, along with Bobbitt.

The couple, for their part, claimed last month during a talk show appearance that they had given Bobbitt several thousand dollars, but he quickly blew it on drugs.

The couple has denied any wrongdoing but has communicated with the courts through their attorney.

Last week, the couple was ordered to turn over any remaining funds to an escrow account.

Initially, GoFundMe gave Bobbitt $20,000 so that he wasn't penniless while the details of the case were emerging.

Badway did not account for the rest but told the judge that they are now preparing the accounting that will "show where the money went".

The raid comes two days after the couple's lawyer revealed that the money is all gone despite the fact that it wasn't properly transferred to its intended recipient.

Bobbitt's legal team has asked Judge Paula T. Dow to force the couple to stay in New Jersey, give up their passports and not spend any money from their bank accounts, the Inquirer reported.

According to Philadelphia's WTXF-TV, Bobbitt is in a 30-day treatment program.

"That's what we're in the process of doing now", D'Amico added.

In court Wednesday, Badway said Bobbitt has gotten $200,000, but Bobbitt's lawyer said he had received about $75,000, including the camper as well as a 1999 Ford Ranger.

The company assured customers that although Bobbitt's case in unusual, they have "taken steps to prevent this extremely unique situation from occurring again". Their lawyer, Ernest E. Badway, said at the time that McClure and D'Amico would invoke their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

But during their August 27 interview with NBC News, McClure and D'Amico said about $150,000 was left.

Bobbitt's attorneys told the Post that he is in detox and working to get his life back.
