Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Trump's press secretary, insisted the White House wasn't targeting only Trump critics. Trump also accused Brennan of "lying" and "wild outbursts".
They include former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey, former Central Intelligence Agency director Michael Hayden and Andrew McCabe, who worked as deputy Federal Bureau of Investigation director under Mr Trump until he was sacked in March. "But Trump's revocation of Brennan's clearance, and his threats to revoke the clearances of other former officials for the sole reason that they have criticized his conduct and policies, amount to unconstitutional retaliation".
On Tuesday, Trump blasted former White House aide Omarosa Manigault, tweeting, "Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!"
Hayden seemed to be less unsettled by the revelation, tweeting that he doesn't go back for classified briefings and that such a move wouldn't "have any effect on what I say or write". Comey fired. McCabe fired.

Mueller III's obstruction-of-justice investigation and that Brennan has no role in the probe today. "I think I have tried to voice the concerns of millions of Americans about Mr. Trump's failures, in terms of fulfilling the responsibilities of that sacred and solemn office of the presidency".
"This has zero to do with national security".

Such a public clarion call certainly makes one wonder what Mr. Trump privately encouraged his advisers to do - and what they actually did - to win the election.
Brennan wrote that Trump's claims of no collusion with Russian Federation are "hogwash" and that the only question remaining is whether the collusion amounts to a "constituted criminally liable conspiracy".
Epoch Times contributor Marc Ruskin, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, took issue with the free speech argument.
Brennan said he's anxious Trump is sending a message to other former and current officials with security clearances that they shouldn't say critical things about the president.
They would apparently include "reciprocal cooperation" involving economic ties between Russian Federation and both Koreas. He said good relations between the two Koreas would be the "driving force " toward the denuclearization of the peninsula.
In his article Mr Johnson writes: "America is turning up the pressure and we want the United Kingdom by our side". It came after US President Donald Trump withdrew from a landmark 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.
