Do you ever get annoyed when your parents want you to cut your fingernails?

After growing his fingernails for 66 YEARS, the man with the world's longest fingernails has finally had them cut - and they've gone on display in NY!
The 82-year-old has been growing the nails on his left hand since he was 14, having been inspired to do so after a teacher told him off when he accidentally broke a very long nail the teacher had grown. His longest nail was on his thumb.
Chillal's longest nail alone measured 197.8 cm. But why did Shridhar grow them so long in the first place?
Ripley's said it was privileged to display the "unique and one-of-a-kind" exhibit.
The teacher said Mr Chillal would never understand what it took to take care of long fingernails and the student set out to prove his teacher wrong, going on to dedicate his life to taking care of his claws.
"I can't move much, so every half an hour or so I wake up and move my hand to the other side of the bed", he told Guinness in 2015. Due to years of growing his nails and their weight, his left hand is permanently handicapped; he can not open his hand from a closed position or flex his fingers. Times Square, according to a media advisory.
"But when I realised that after cutting my nails, my nails will be at Ripley's Believe It or Not! and they're going to maintain it very nicely and for a lifetime, then I felt like I was doing the right decision and that's why I chose to cut my nails". Judging by the state of most fingernails after a day in midtown NY, they'll be filthy in no time.
