How to add music to your Instagram stories

Instagram has announced the launch of a new feature, Music In Instagram Stories. Then, you can cut up the song by fast-forwarding and rewinding through the song to pick the best part to go with the story. Music can be chosen based on mood, genre, and more, and can be added before recording or afterwards. Once you click on it, it opens a library of thousands of songs. We still don't have chronological order, but there's the very exciting fact that the app will no longer inform users if someone screenshots their Stories, which, let's be honest, is a huge development for daily Instagram users everywhere.

For the first time, you'll finally be able to further liven up your Stories by soundtracking uploads with your favorite tunes.

On iOS, users can also opt to choose a song before shooting a photo or video. Before starting to record a video, users can swipe the new "Music" option on the camera screen right under the record button. Here, they can find a song, scroll through it find the desired section of the song that they wish to use, and then capture something for their Story.

Another day, another new feature addition to Instagram. While it'll be rolling out to iOS users now, the new music feature is "coming soon" for Android. The almost two-year-old feature now boasts 400 million daily users, the company announced on Thursday.

Viewers would be able to see a sticker showing the song title and artist name, while watching a "Story".

The feature is now available only in a few selected countries and Instagram is working towards launching the feature in more countries.
