Senegal's team easily has the best dance moves of the World Cup

Southampton defender Maya Yoshida has hailed the fearlessness of Japan boss Akira Nishino as the Samurai Blue eye a place in the round of 16 at the World Cup in Russian Federation.

After a 2-2 draw last Sunday, Japan and Senegal share the lead with four points and the same number of goals scored and conceded.

Friendly defeats to Ghana and Switzerland following Nishino's appointment deepened the sense of foreboding, although Japan did beat Paraguay just before the World Cup.

"He can do better, but today he was better than against Poland and he needs to do better against Colombia".

He also registered his name in the history books as he became the highest scoring Asian player at the World Cup Finals with 4 goals to his name.

In the Colombia victory in particular Japan were rewarded for Nishino's adventurous approach.

Japan face Poland but after two poor displays from the Poles, neither Colombia nor Senegal can count on them to get a result and help them into the next round. We were unsafe and had many chances, but in the end they equalized.

"For the past several days, I have been telling my players to gain five centimetres and five kilograms but it failed, so we need other measures", he joked.

A minute later, Nishino sent on Honda and striker Shinji Okazaki.

One of those, Keisuke Honda, scored the equaliser that made it 2-2 just six minutes after coming on.

Even when the sides were level, Nishino threw the dice one more time as he brought on Augsburg forward Takashi Usami late on.

Japan used its speed to control the middle of the field and open spaces in Senegal's defence, but they still couldn't stop the African team from taking the lead. "You can feel that but it is the coach that has to think about that", said Hasebe.

"In the second half we wanted to win and after twice equalising I put on Usami".

These kinds of passes would worry the Teranga Lions the entire game because once it found a man, the Samurai warriors playing a 4-2-3-1 would suddenly find several support options to choose from to leave the Senegalese in moments of panic.
