Colombia's Cuadrado warns of Senegal threat ahead of Group H finale

Getty ImagesGroup H is set to bring a wild end to the group stage of the 2018 World Cup - here's every scenario for how things could shake out between Japan, Colombia, and Senegal as they battle for the final two spots in the knockout round.

However, Senegal manager Aliou Cisse was not happy with his defence for conceding "avoidable goals" in the 2-2 draw with Japan, per Reuters (h/t the Japan Times).

A point against the South Americans would be enough, though Colombia sit a point behind Senegal and know they need something from the game.

Senegal will need to clean up their defensive play after allowing a pair of goals to Japan, while Colombia is coming off a confidence-boosting 3-0 demolition of Poland, according to the Federation Internationale de Football Association website. As it stands, Japan and Senegal have the advantage, with four points after two games. Senegal allowed Poland to get a ball in the net, however, though the African side ended up with the 2-1 win. Cisse, Senegal skipper in the country's run to the quarter-finals in 2002, hopes that Mane can be the difference, on what promises to be a nerve-wracking final round of matches on Thursday.

He won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup and this latest setback came four years ago to the day since his wonder strike against Uruguay earned him the Puskas award for best goal of that year. "I think the best team on the pitch was Japan, I have to be honest". Colombia sit a point further back.

Senegal were far from convincing against Japan and even though Mane scored the opener it had a large dose of good luck about it.

Group H is the group of death because it's so hard to split the teams.

But there were mitigating circumstances - they played most of the game with 10 men after Carlos Sanchez was dismissed for handball.

Colombia could also advance with a draw, but only if Japan lose. Will they set up shop and make it hard for Colombia?
