Best Children's Hospital in the U.S.-Boston Children's Tops List

OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois Pediatric Urology, led by Dr. Churphena Reid and Dr. Benjamin Rhee, tied for 31st nationally, marking the third year in a row it has been ranked.

"Our Best Children's Hospitals rankings are designed with parents and young patients in mind". The growth and support of the Fetal Care Center, along with the Teleneonatology Program generated a higher volume of newborns with complex medical and surgical conditions. It maintains its spot atop of the U.S. News honor roll, a distinction granted to hospitals that rank highly among 10 pediatric specialities.

Each year the rankings highlight the top 50 pediatric facilities in the 10 pediatric specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology, and urology. Rounding out the top five performers are Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. "This is more than a attractive, new building with extraordinary technology and amenities for our patients, families and our staff".

U.S. News & World Report released its 12th annual list of best children's hospitals, spotlighting the top 50 centers in the U.S. for pediatric medical care. The rankings will be published in the U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals 2019" guidebook (ISBN: 9781931469906), available in stores late September. Children's relies on generous donors to deliver specialized care for families in need, extend health care services to the community, and pursue research that promises to transform pediatric medicine. Hospitals were ranked based on patient outcomes, including mortality and infection rates, clinical resources and compliance with best practices.
