Heather Locklear Arrested After Alleged Battery of Police Officer in Thousand Oaks

Police arrested the actress on Sunday night after she attacked an officer and an EMT, once again.

Locklear was taken into custody at her home shortly before midnight and booked for 2 counts of misdemeanor battery upon an officer and emergency personnel. Deputies arrested Locklear, but before booking her, they wanted to medically clear her because of the way she acted, and she seemed heavily intoxicated, authorities said.

Reportedly, the woman punched a deputy trying to separate her from her family members.

The 56-year-old actress was taken to a hospital then taken to jail and booked on two battery counts.

Ventura County Sheriff's Captain Garo Kuredjian says Locklear was released from jail on Monday after posting 20,000 dollars (£15,095) bail. During this process, she battered a deputy, authorities said. "Heather never seemed to come to terms with the fact she has a substance abuse problem and her family has been at their wits end because they can't force her to get the help she needs". Most recently, she was hospitalized to undergo a psychiatric evaluation after allegedly attacking her father and choking her mother. Paramedics were later called to the scene to evaluate Locklear.

Has Heather Locklear finally reached rock bottom?

Her family has struggled to "control" Locklear, the source adds. She later plead not guilty to these four misdemeanor counts of battery in April, according to the Associated Press.

She later appeared on TV police drama TJ Hooker and sitcom Spin City, for which she was twice nominated for a Golden Globe.
