Next Xbox console confirmed:

"Just Cause 4" is due out this year. The aliens which were determined to destroy you while you were trying to save the world?

Microsoft has partnered with Undead since the company's early days - about five years ago - as the publisher of the "State of Decay" series.

That we still haven't seen some of the games announced back in 2016 released should serve as a reminder of how long it takes to make significant, big budget games.

PUBG is now getting a "War Mode" and a new map for the Xbox One this year.

Xbox's event featured 18 exclusive games and 15 world premieres, including a first look at the brand new Fallout game, Fallout 76.

A little later came the turn and Gears of War. Forza Horizon 4 (our IGN First for the month) got a deep look and a ton of gameplay, but it did so while commentated by the devs. Now, at E3 2018, it seems to be pivoting back towards that vision, but with considerably more care.

Microsoft has taken to the stage at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to announce a major investment in its gaming arm, with the acquisition of four existing studios and the formation of a new wholly internal studio dubbed The Initiative.

When is the Xbox Two release date?

But "available in 2019" became all too familiar a refrain. A number of missteps led gamers to believe they'd need a connection to play Xbox and would be unable to share games with others. This doesn't include the annual installments of games like "Madden NFL", "NBA 2K" and "Call of Duty" that already have fans pre-ordering from their favorite retailer.

But most importantly, Microsoft's 2018 E3 showcase was a promise for the future. While some great games were announced - some new things and fantastic looking titles - something was lacking.

With the increasing popularity of Sony's PS Now subscription service, there is a big chance that the Xbox Two will be using cloud-based gaming technology. While we haven't heard any rumors of a mobile Xbox product, ever, it's simply impossible that Microsoft hasn't noticed Nintendo's handheld, which is busy setting sales records and skyrocketing up the charts. This year Xbox's main focus was to showcase their slew of games that will be released within the next year.
