Ghana football boss resigns after being banned by FIFA

The Ghanaian government has begun a process to dissolve the national soccer body, Information Minister Mustapha Abdul-Hamid said on Thursday.
The minister said, "The documentary exposes the gross malfunctioning of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), characterized by widespread fraud, corruption and bribery".
I have chose to resign as the Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association and an Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association.
The Ghanaian government has chose to shut down the Ghanaian Football Association following allegations of corruption in the organisation that have surfaced in recent days.
"I hereby apologise unreservedly to the father of the Nation, H.E. Nana Akufo Addo, H.E. the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, Hon".
"The chairperson of the adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee has provisionally banned the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and FIFA Council member, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, for a duration of 90 days".
A press release from FIFA, yesterday, announced Nyantakyi's ban from all football-related activities at both national and global levels, leaving him with no option than to resign.

Provisional measures will be put in place to run the sport in Ghana until a new body is formed.
Federation Internationale de Football Association has not yet commented on whether any action will be taken over the GFA's dissolution.
