Messi wants Griezmann at Barcelona

Manchester United have reportedly rejoined the race to sign Antoine Griezmann, who is also a summer target for Barcelona.

Arsenal have both Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla out of contract this summer, with the latter signing for Villareal which means midfield recruitments are necessary going into the 2018/19 season. We want to be the best team in the world, and for that we have to look at the best'.

Griezmann scored 29 goals and assisted a further 15 strikes in 49 games for Atletico this past season, and is said to be close to deciding on his future.

Will he? Won't he?

French publication Foot 365 has claimed that Arsenal are due to meet with the player's representatives this week over a potential move to the Emirates.

Arsenal will surely have to improve on Fellaini's contract worth £80,000-a-week, that he has turned down at United. Meanwhile, Griezmann could be in a similar predicament at Barcelona, where Luis Suarez is still the first-choice striker.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi has praised Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, saying he's a great player amid continued speculation the latter may be on his way to Catalonia. If he decides to depart from Wanda Metropolitano, Los Rojiblancos would prefer that he joins Manchester United instead of their La Liga rivals.

The 27-year-old forward - a Europa League victor with Atletico in 2017-18 after scoring 29 goals in all competitions - has a reported €100million release clause.

"I like how he plays and, in terms of if Barcelona will sign him or not, you have to talk to the managers, but I really like how he plays".
