Cristiano Ronaldo feels 'betrayed' by Real Madrid

On Monday night "El Partidazo" radio show claimed to have information that Ronaldo was now asking Madrid for €75m net a year, up from his current annual salary of €42m [before taxes].

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo joined Portugal's camp in Cascais on Monday afternoon, 11 days before his country's World Cup opener against Spain.

Ronaldo, who hadn't played since leading Real Madrid to a third straight Champions League title last month, set up one of Portugal's goals at the Stadium of Light.

His 32 league goals helped him to win the Golden Boot, with second-placed Harry Kane a comfortable margin behind the Egyptian, who has emerged as a surprise potential candidate for Balon d'Or this year.

Sky Sports' Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has said Real may be willing to offload Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in order to buy former Barcelona forward Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain. We all want Ronaldo to stay and Neymar has our doors wide open.

With the Real Madrid superstar now 33, the upcoming tournament in Russian Federation is likely to be his final chance at winning a World Cup while at the peak of his career.

This time round the five time Ballon d'Or victor didn't say it on the back of a tax evasion claim but instead after Real won their third Champions League final in a row.

According to reports, Ronaldo is said to have "various dissatisfactions" with Real - including his wage packet which is said to be lower than Lionel Messi and Neymar's.

Ronaldo is also unhappy with Zinedine Zidane's departure. "The first match, the group stage will be extremely hard but I think that with these players we need to think big and I am confident that we will give our best".

Neymar has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, while Ronaldo's future is up in the air.
