Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to reportedly honeymoon in Canada

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be heading to Canada for their honeymoon.

The royals are reportedly due to stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta (pictured right).

According to TMZ, the royal pair will be spending some time soon at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta for their post-wedding getaway - in a 6,000 square foot cabin known as "The Royal Retreat".

The TMZ report also states that the lodge has ordered some special "gear and goodies" for the newly-weds, and will be assisted by both British and Canadian security when the couple arrives.

It's also thought the Duke and the Duchess - who was known as Meghan Markle before she got married - will stop over in Los Angeles to visit her sick father. But since they're not in a rush to jet off to some incredible destination, and are content in tending to some post-wedding public engagements, they've had time to pick the flawless getaway.

The couple will be staying at log cabin at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the Mirror reported.

Express reports that before they head to Canada, Harry and Meghan are planning on a quick "mini-moon" in Ireland, a country which Meghan has visited before but Harry has not.

"We are declining further comment at this time as our top priority is always the safety and privacy of all our guests".

Meghan lived in Canada for several years during the filming of her TV show Suits, which was filmed in Toronto. If the royal family wanted to throw us off their track, they're certainly succeeding. Because, hello, that's private and the only way we'll see any bits of it is in a fictional retelling of what life is like for the Sussexes now that they're married, just like that Lifetime movie.

The luxurious six-bedroom cabin previously welcomed King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939 as well as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 2005.
