Fortnite's Infinity War Crossover Event is Ending Tomorrow

Since it became available, Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet mode has been a big hit with fans of Epic Games' wildly popular sandbox survival title, as the Limited Time Mode has allowed players to wield the titular glove as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's character Thanos and wreak havoc upon the competition. The special mode went live on May 8, giving players a week to try out the unlikely crossover that adds a powerful twist to the usual, everybody-for-themselves Battle Royale proceedings.

While Thanos will be snapping his way out of the game soon, here's hoping that Fortnite crosses over with other big pop-culture franchises sometime in the future.

Epic made the announcement stating the Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup will end on May 15th. Whichever player reaches and uses the gauntlet first transforms into Thanos, then shoots back into the sky for another quick landing.

Today is the last chance to play as Thanos and use the power of the Infinity Gauntlet within the world of Fortnite. Otherwise, the circles and steady progression from 100-to-1 remain roughly the same. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but note that Epic isn't closed to the idea of bringing Fortnite onto the Switch, and stated that they are hopeful that they'll be able to release it for the console "at some point".

Update: The new Fortnite patch has been delayed due to Epic's discovery of an unspecified issues.

Fortnite continues to get new updates.
