National Film Awards: Sridevi honoured at 65th National Film Awards

The side-by-side photos of the family are being shared by Janhvi and Sridevi's fanpages on social media. On Wednesday evening, Boney Kapoor, Janhvi and Khushi went to Vigyan Bhawan (the venue) for rehearsals.

The jury was present on the dais as also Minister for Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajvardan Singh Rathore. For the ceremony, Janhvi, who is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut, paid an ode to Sridevi by wearing her mother's white and baby pink Kanjeevaram sari, which used to be her mother's favourite.

Sridevi and her "Chandni" co-star Vinod Khanna were recognized posthumously at the National Film Awards this year. "It is very special for us as a family", said the actress before the ceremony. At the same time, a sad moment. I would have preferred her going and accepting the award and us clapping for her. She was in this line for 50 years, done nearly 300 films. We are excited that our film Mom won in both Best Actress and Best Background Score categories. Later, some people showed their disappointment for giving her such prestigious award after her death.

Boney Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor's father-daughter moment captured the embodiment of Janhvi's mannerisms which she inherited from her mother, Sridevi.

"It is a very proud moment for all of us but sadly she is not around for this proud moment", he added. Despite his earlier relations with Sridevi, Arjun stood like a pillar of strength for Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughters. "I would only ask them to be as dedicated as focused as honest, as hardworking as her". After receiving the trophy at the said event held in the capital city, dad Boney Kapoor and sister Janhvi got back in Mumbai while Khushi made a decision to stay back in Delhi, we gather. The loss was mourned by millions of her fans around the world.
