Dolphins select Mike Gesicki with No. 42 pick in 2018 NFL Draft

Or does he want Fitzpatrick, the do-it-all defensive back and one of the safest picks in the draft?

Fitzpatrick was the first Alabama player selected in the 2018 draft, which marked the second straight year that a defensive back was the Tide's first draft pick (Marlon Humphrey).

Four picks after Baker came off the board, defensive lineman Sam Hubbard became the second Buckeyes star to be chosen by his hometown team this season, as the Cincinnati native was selected by the Bengals at No. 77.

Mike Gesicki said he ended up "exactly where I belong" after getting selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the National Football League draft Friday night.

Baker was a two-year starter at Ohio State, as he played a majority of his snaps as a weakside linebacker in their 4-3 scheme.

Payne became the Redskins' second straight first-round pick from Alabama after Washington picked Allen at No. 17 overall a year ago, and also reunites with former Tide linebacker Ryan Anderson, who went to the Redskins in the second round.

Over the course of the franchise's history, the Dolphins have never had a tight end who caught more than 80 passes in a season. He recorded an interception and a touchdown reception against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl to help seal UA's 24-6 win over the No. 1-ranked Tigers. They landed Alabama Crimson Tide standout defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, making their secondary instantly better. Good enough to earn Freshman All-American honors.

Evans was taken at No. 22 by the Tennessee Titans. He was the 42nd overall pick. Ridley went No. 26 to the Atlanta Falcons where he joins former Alabama receiver Julio Jones.

That would change during the 2016-17 season when Gesicki became a prime target for quarterback Trace McSorley and one of the best receiving tight end in the nation.

Set the Penn State career receptions record for tight ends with his final catch vs. Pittsburgh, eclipsing Andrew Quarless' 87 grabs from 2006-09.

It didn't take long Friday for them to address that concern.
