Wenger reveals his biggest Arsenal regret after 22 years

The club, sixth in the league, face Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the first leg of a Europa League semi-final later on Thursday.

The Red Devils will look to rip those scars wide open on Sunday and with seven wins in their last 10 home league meetings against Wenger's side, they'll be confident of claiming victory. But, if the question is as simple as: "Are you ready to manage any teams in Europe?", then I would say: "Yes. So my target is to play in Europe again".

A win in the Europa League would not only allow Wenger to go out on a high but also ensure Champions League football for the 2018-19 season. I think he's still got the energy, love and passion to stay in the game. When you look at the career that Wenger's had, it's very hard to stay at this level because you're always competing and putting yourself on the line.

"So I don't know now how addicted I am. So I will see how much I miss that gun".

"We played that year against Juventus, who had Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet and Vieira - and Madrid who had Zidane, Beckham, Figo and Ronaldo", he said. The Italian is rumored to be keen on testing himself in the Premier League, and has notably been taking English lessons over the past couple of years. So you have to be conscious of that as well.

The last few years have been a battle for Wenger, as he fought to take his team back to relevance, back to where they belong, fighting for titles year in, year out.

Are Arsene Wenger and Mick McCarthy last of long-serving managers?

"He's been under Pep Guardiola there, he was always interested even when he was playing here in going into a coaching role one day, I'm sure he's learning a lot about the game and especially the way Man City have been playing. I leave myself a little bit open and freedom to decide what I want to do with my life". Not at my age. "At my age you understand the world continues and you wish that it continues better".

Goal also reported that the former Monaco manager wants an "immediate return" to football; although at this time it is unclear which, if any, big clubs would be willing to consider the Frenchman.

"I would take it the other way around". That's not exactly the same. "I've seen them behave the whole season and they deserve it". Is it former people who worked here? But there are many players who had qualities. "I don't influence that choice, but I will stand behind the decision".

Enrique is rumoured to have already met with Chelsea representatives, but would still need to negotiate the final details of his contract with the club. And while Rafa Benitez, Lucien Favre, Eddie Howe and Leonardo Jardim have all proved themselves capable of doing a good job on a budget in recent seasons, none are thought to be in serious contention. "Fantastic, no pollution - until the press conference starts".
