Samsung's latest smartphone can't connect to the internet

Back in February Samsung made fun of Apple for the notch on the iPhone X during the Galaxy S9 reveal. Another difference is that the Samsung Galaxy S9+ has a Ram memory of 6 GB while the S9 has 4 GB. Yet in late February AnandTech reported the results of Apple's A11 vs the Galaxy's S9 9810 processor and the A11 was clearly more powerful in a number of tests. Despite lukewarm reviews, the Galaxy S9 (and S9+) has shown some incremental improvements apart from the iteration which has helped it to edge out the previously top-rated Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. If this turns out to be correct, the Galaxy Note 9 will be the largest handset yet from Samsung, although it is not certain if the increase in screen size will be due to slimmer bezels, or an over-all increase of the phone build.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is surely the South Korean smartphone giant's upcoming flagship device, and a new report coming directly from Korea claims that the company has finalised the design of the Galaxy S10 devices today. "Just six points separate our top 20 smartphones".

Of course the CR report still noted that the cameras on Apple's iPhone 8, 8-Plus and X outperformed those on the S9 and S9-Plus. The answer may not be that simple. But Consumer Reports did acknowledge the lackluster battery life and over-sharpening of photos. Therefore, take it with a pinch of salt.

The first day sales of Galaxy S9 were lower than expected and its preorders couldn't match that of the older Galaxy S8. While one of the 12-megapixel (Dual Pixel) sensor has an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilisation, the second 12-megapixel sensor comes with an f/2.4 aperture and optical image stabilisation to allow for up to 2X optical zoom. If this is a preview to what the Samsung Galaxy S "X" might look like, then then the 3.5mm audio jack looks like it will retain a 3.5mm audio jack for at least one more generation. The company states that it has increased the brightness level on the Galaxy S9 by 15 percent.

Hiding inside a current patent (and wrote about by Mobiel Kopen) is Samsung's way to deal with boosting the screen to body proportion that faces the customer.

"It really comes down to personal preference when you are talking about high-end phones these days", Richard Fisco, Consumer Reports' head of smartphone testing, was quoted as saying. And we find that this is more true than ever before. That's not particularly a bad idea because the Galaxy S8 duo and S9 duo are still amongst the best-looking devices available on the market right now.
