"The defence argued that the so-called confessional statement was forced from Swami Aseemanand in order to create a theory of "Bhagwa Atankwad" (safron terror)", he said.

After his arrest, Aseemanand made confessions before a magistrate in Delhi under Section 164 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), laying out a purported conspiracy by alleged Hindu extremists.

The Jaipur court said the investigating agency had deduced that the RSS Parcharak had purchased the SIM cards, to time and trigger the bombs kept at Ajmer Dargah.

The explosion ripped through the mosque on May 18, 2007.

Congress Spokesperson PL Punia, who addressed the party's regular media briefing, attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for targeting Rahul Gandhi and dared it to produce evidence to support its allegation.
