An LA county sheriff spokesman Nicole Nishida mentioned the drive's "particular victims bureau started an investigation into allegations of a sexual assault involving Mr Kevin Spacey on December 11, 2017".

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department first presented the case to the district attorney's office on April 5th, the publication reported, though no additional details were provided.

Even the Oscar-winning celebrity was sacked from the Netflix series "House of Cards" a year ago afterwards which he had been accused of sexual misconduct.

Days later, more men said Spacey harassed or groped them as well.

London cops were already investigating two similar complaints lodged against Spacey, who was artistic director at The Old Vic theatre from 2004 to 2015.

In the U.K., Spacey is under investigation for allegedly assaulting a man in 2005 in the Central London borough of Westminster, and men in the South London borough of Lambeth, in 2005 and 2008.

"Star Trek: Discovery" actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of making a sexual advance more than 30 years ago in his NY apartment when Spacey was 26.

Former Boston TV news anchor Heather Unruh claimed actor Spacey sexually assaulted her teenage son at a Nantucket restaurant after an evening of drinking.

Spacey then went on to reveal that he is gay. In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Rapp that Spacey made a sexual advance on him in 1986, when Rapp was 14 years old and Spacey was 26.

Aside from Rapp's accusation, Spacey has not responded to any of the accusations against him.

In response to the allegations, Spacey tweeted that he was "beyond horrified to hear [Rapp's] story", adding that he did not remember the encounter.
