This preseason will give Indianapolis' new coaching staff a chance to evaluate their new players and get them important reps in a new system. This year, it's going to be of immediate interest to Tampa Bay fans, too. It's a slate that includes the Philadelphia Eagles, their Super Bowl LII slayer, as they will host both the Redskins and Eagles then visit the Panthers and Giants during the four-game precursor to the regular season.

Last season, Cleveland earned a flawless record in its four preseason games. They looked poised to earn their first playoff berth in three seasons when they led the Cincinnati Bengals late in their Week 17 matchup, but saw Cincinnati score a 49-yard, game-winning touchdown in the final seconds to fall, 31-27.

The team will close the summer session on August 30 with a home game against the Chargers, their only annual preseason opponent.

The Broncos will end the preseason with a familiar opponent as this will be the 12th time in the last 14 years Denver will have played the Cardinals in the preseason.

Thursday Aug. 16: vs. Baltimore owns a 1-0 preseason series edge over the Colts. In a near-annual matchup, the 49ers will close the exhibition season August 30 against the the Los Angeles Chargers, who will host the 49ers in the regular season.
