Joshua vs Parker: Our experts predict the big fight

"If they want to prolong the Joshua fight, I will give them a taste of their own medicine".

With good looks, Herculean muscles and a flawless 20 knockouts in 20 professional bouts, Joshua has quickly become one of the sport's biggest global stars.

On the popular Breakfast Club, the 32-year-old expectedly talked about his wish to fight Joshua, his win over Luis Ortiz earlier in March, his family and life after boxing.

Wilder admits it is "highly doubtful" Joshua will fight him next but has made it clear he wants to hear from the unbeaten heavyweight himself, no matter what.

"I was switched on and I was focused, Joseph Parker is a world champion and I said this was about boxing finesse". Anthony Joshua connects with an over-the-top right before getting spoken to by Italian referee Giuseppe Quartarone, who keeps preventing a fight from happening by stepping in just before the Briton delivers an uppercut to Parker.

"Joshua for me is still the number 1 in the heavyweight division". Wilder is however not having it. How fast can I come back?

"In my head I have to prepare for a 12-round fight, but if we're talking about where it'll end, I'm hoping to go somewhere between seven and nine".

Ahead of the monster unification clash in Cardiff, Joshua sent in someone from his team to observe Parker's trainer wrapping the undefeated Kiwi's hands.

Going into the bout both fighters are unbeaten - with Joshua putting his WBA and IBF belts on the line against WBO champ Parker.

Parker (24-1, 18 KOs) suffered his first professional defeat in his third defense of the WBO belt, but there will be more big fights ahead for the New Zealander and perhaps in the United Kingdom, where there is Dillian Whyte, former champion Tyson Fury, Tony Bellew and David Haye.

Asked what he saw in Parker's eyes he said: "Not much, just Joseph Parker".

"I can agree that I do all the wrong things in boxing, but I am a victor". "I feel like people try to find anything to steer your mind from what's working. Wilder will be watching right now and he will now beat AJ and these people".

Wilder has two daughters and two sons with Jessica Scales-Wilder, whom he married in 2009.

The 32-year-old will no doubt be sizing up AJ from afar and you wouldn't bet against Joshua name-checking him in the aftermath if he does win. "I've got my speed back and I'll show you on Saturday".

He also believes American boxing legends do not support them but revealed that Evander Holyfield for predicted that he will one day be heavyweight champion.

"Parker's a busy fighter, Joshua needs to be busy".

"My job was to control Takam, move him around the ring where I wanted him, and secure the win so I could move forward to 2018, and that was a mature performance".

"The biggest thing for me is the challenge of fighting someone like Joshua, and the challenge of if it goes into a dark place, how long will I stay there for?"
