Liverpool legend Ian Rush offers brazen reminder to 36-goal Mohamed Salah

His strikes have helped fire Liverpool into third place in the table and into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Mo Salah's impressive debut season for the Reds has, unsurprisingly, seen him linked with a mega money move away from the Merseysiders, with Real Madrid top of the queue.

The Egypt global has enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign at the Anfield outfit following a return of 28 goals in 30 games in the Premier League.

Salah has been in electrifying form this season, scoring 36 goals in 41 games in all competitions, and has emerged as Liverpool's stand-out player under Jurgen Klopp.

The Egyptian has been electrifying for Liverpool this season and is one of the main reasons why the club hasn't felt the large gaping hole that Philippe Coutinho left on his way to Barcelona.

According to The Mirror, United are interested in signing the 28-year-old former Spurs star in the summer transfer window.

While Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana, Georginio Wijnaldum and even Roberto Firmino can play on the wings, Liverpool need players who can naturally provide width and Sobhi fits the bill perfectly.

Will Sobhi join forces with Salah at Liverpool?

"Don't get me wrong, it's always going to be tough when the big boys come calling". But I believe Salah should sit tight.

The Catalans are odds-on to reclaim the title while many consider them to be favourites for the Champions League as well.

However Salah is reportedly happy at Anfield, and Liverpool want to put any speculation to bed by offering him a new deal of up to £200,000-a-week.

"We have to be more consistent and if we can do that we are looking at winning more trophies".

"He's got the goals, I don't see why he couldn't win it".

"I've heard some of the Liverpool players say how fantastic Salah has been - that's in training, not just in the games".

"You know next season people will be looking out for you".
