The club are in serious danger of getting relegated under David Moyes.

West Ham United fans that contributed to the toxic atmosphere at the London Stadium during Saturday's 3-0 Premier League defeat by Burnley should stay away from the London outfit's remaining home matches, the hosts' former striker Trevor Brooking said.

Spanish newspaper Marca say Saturday was a "sad" day for both West Ham and Lille as fans of the clubs "decided to tarnish" matches by invading the pitch.

The Football Association have asked for West Ham's observations on what happened and will use the report from referee Lee Mason before deciding on whether to charge them, as expected.

"Not like the London Stadium".

Sullivan was hit by a coin thrown at the directors' box, although he was not injured.

Brooking acknowledged Barnes' opening goal "triggered problems" and said "there was a quite sizeable group then below the directors' box that came to chant in a really aggressive manner".

After West Ham slipped to a third straight Premier League loss, Noble defended approaching the first pitch invader.

"I was concerned to read the coverage about Mark's treatment in the Guardian over the weekend and have subsequently spoken to him about his experiences", Streeting wrote in a letter seen by the Guardian.

West Ham plan to respond to Streeting's letter and have said Brady was not informed about warnings about the RWHFG that were communicated to their customer services team on 16 February.

"We know people can't come on the pitch but I can't imagine it was unsafe for the players. A lot of fans got on the pitch", he said.

"They didn't like the way I conducted myself".

The Hammers are now in the thick of a relegation battle in the Premier League and sit just three points above the drop zone.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan condemned the violence and called on West Ham to take action.
