Rex Tillerson cancels day's events in Kenya over illness

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who is on his first-ever Africa tour as Washington's top diplomat, today cancelled his programme in Kenya because he was feeling unwell, officials said.
There are no indications his illness is serious.
The top diplomat's already busy travel plan was complicated by major worldwide developments, including proposed talks between North Korea and the US, which President Donald Trump accepted seemingly without consulting the State Department -at a press conference in Ethiopia's capital of Addis Ababa just hours before the White House announcement on Thursday, Tillerson said the USA was still "a long way" from direct talks and negotiations.
The secretary of state has had a pretty hectic schedule on his tour having to juggle many balls at the same time; making calls to the White House on North Korea and monitoring the situation in the Middle-East.
Tillerson will hold talks with Kenyatta, where they will discuss key issues including; counter terrorism; peace and security; good governance; trade and investment.
Some of the events planned for Saturday in the capital of Nairobi will go on without him, but others may be rescheduled for later in the trip.
The news came a day after US President Trump shocked the world, agreeing to meet North Korea's Kim Jong-un by May.
Tillerson had a light schedule for Saturday, with plans to visit a site run by the president's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or Pepfar, and then lay a wreath at the site of the August 1998 bombing of the American Embassy in downtown Nairobi.
