Avraham Binyamin, a Yitzhar spokesman, said two Palestinians were seen approaching Yitzhar with a "burning object".

"We are experiencing terrorist attacks by Arabs from the villages near the settlement, nearly daily", said Yitzhar secretariat chairman Uriah Cohen.

Violent outbursts between Israeli settlers and Palestinians have been a near daily occurrence as of late in the West Bank.

The ministry said the victim, identified as Mohammed al-Jabari, 24, was shot during clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian protesters in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron) on Friday.

The Health Ministry in Gaza reported three wounded in clashes by the border with Israel, one severely and two moderately. It says troops arrived and fired live rounds to disperse the confrontation.

Arab threats of retaliation are not followed by action, says PA minister, to the detriment of the Palestinians.

The Palestinian leadership rejected an invitation by the United States to attend a donors meeting on the humanitarian situation in Gaza planned for March 13 at the White House, a Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official said on Saturday.

At least 30 Palestinians and two Israelis have been killed since Trump's December 6 announcement.

The Palestinians seek east Jerusalem as their future capital and view Trump's decision as siding with Israel on one of the thorniest issues at the heart of the conflict.

Ismail Haniyeh said he predicts thousands of demonstrators at the Gaza-Israel border on May 14, the day President Donald Trump said the American embassy will move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. A number of Muslim leaders have warned the move may lead to violence.
