Dark Souls Getting An amiibo And Network Test

Today during the Nintendo Direct Nintendo confirmed that Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch will be getting a network test. According to Bandai Namco, the figure will be sold exclusively through GameStop.

The amiibo, Solaire of Astoria, will allow players to easily perform the "Praise the Sun" emote.

Dark Souls: Remastered enables players to explore the twisted ancient land of Lordran in the first title of the critically acclaimed action role-playing series like never before.

Worship the Solaire of Astora amiibo in all it's magnanimous glory!

Get ready to Praise the Sun, fellow dungeon dwellers!

That gives the Nintendo Switch version a slight edge over the others, though the game will still look pretty killer across the board as you take on a horde of monsters with your beloved knight, trying (and possibly failing) to avoid death at every turn.

Solaire of Astora becoming an amiibo should help solidify him as one of the most popular characters from Dark Souls.

Hidden in the world of Dark Souls: Remastered are nine online covenants to uncover that will motivate your online interactions. Further details on this network test aren't available at this time, but should come to light as we grow nearer to the game's release date later this year. More information about the Network Test will be announced soon.
